Creative Coding Barcelona
Creative Coding Barcelona is a community exploring the creative possibilities of programming. Its mission is to share knowledge and inspiration about computational art and inspire multidisciplinary collaborations. The collective welcomes everyone, regardless of programming experience or technical background. We organise informal gatherings providing a space for members to showcase projects, discuss topics of interest, and connect with others who share their passions.
In early 2025, TGAM set out to reintroduce Creative Coding Barcelona, a collective that had previously brought together the city’s creative coding community through beautiful and inspiring events. After the group ceased operations in 2022, we felt it was time to revive that energy and spirit. We’d like to sincerely thank the former organisers for entrusting us with the project and allowing us to open a new chapter in its story.
The format of our events is simple: an artist, researcher, or studio shares a presentation focused on a project where creative coding is at the core. These sessions aim to spark curiosity, surface new ideas, and highlight innovation within the field. After the talk, we host casual drinks to help people connect, exchange thoughts, and deepen the experience. Looking ahead, Creative Coding Barcelona will also host workshops and other events to continue growing this space for learning, experimentation, and community.
