Following an open call that brought together a diverse range of proposals, the jury selected three projects for their artistic potential, conceptual strength and capacity to grow through the programme’s sixteen-week development process.

The selected projects are:

CareDeck

Ane Miren Ganzarain

CareDeck explores care as a collective practice, proposing new ways of thinking about the relationships, tools and structures through which care is organised and shared.

Through the push(); programme, the project will continue developing its artistic and technical dimensions, strengthening its methodology and preparing the work for a future public presentation.

Coral Bichx — Terolenguatge i protocols d’afectació mútua en les performances d’Arquea Col·lectiu

Arquea Col·lectiu (Marzia Matarese, Patricia Usero)

Coral Bichx — Terolenguatge i protocols d’afectació mútua en les performances d’Arquea Col·lectiu investigates forms of collective language, mutual influence and relational protocols within performance.

The project proposes an experimental space in which bodies, technologies, gestures and communication systems affect one another, generating forms of expression that emerge through interaction rather than individual authorship.

During push();, the project will receive support to further articulate its conceptual framework, technical structure and performative possibilities.

Flora, jardín electrónico

Judit Castells, Paula Jaime, Mariana Pachón, Daniela Guevara

Flora, jardín electrónico imagines an electronic garden as a living system shaped by technological, organic and participatory processes.

The project brings together artistic research, electronics and interaction to explore how an artificial ecosystem might grow, respond and transform through its relationship with its surroundings and its visitors.

Through the programme, the team will continue developing the project’s technological and experiential components, working towards a robust and publicly presentable installation.

Sixteen weeks of artistic and technical development

The selected artists will now begin a sixteen-week programme combining personalised mentorship, specialised training, technical guidance and professional support.

Each project will receive €1,500 in artist fees and up to €1,250 for production and exhibition costs, alongside access to a network of professionals selected according to its specific needs.

The process will focus on strengthening the artistic, technical and production dimensions of each proposal, while helping the teams define the most appropriate format for its future presentation.

push(); is not conceived as a traditional residency, but as a flexible development programme that can be combined with the participants’ existing professional and personal responsibilities. Most mentoring sessions will take place online, with occasional in-person activities when required by the projects.

A first edition shaped by exceptional projects

The first push(); open call received 26 proposals, reflecting the diversity and vitality of contemporary practices working across digital art, creative coding, electronics, performance, interaction and open-source culture. The selection process involved an extensive review and deliberation by the programme’s jury. TGAM would like to thank all the artists and collectives who submitted their work and shared their research, ideas and ongoing projects with us. The high quality of the applications made the selection especially difficult. We encourage all participants to continue developing their proposals and to apply again in future editions of the programme.

Over the coming months, TGAM will share updates on the development of CareDeck, Coral Bichx and Flora, jardín electrónico, as well as further information about their final public presentation.
